The skull kit is composed of 22 bone pieces that can be displayed individually or reassembled as a whole. The coloured human skull model kit is a natural cast and the coloured bone/bone pairs make the complex anatomical structure of the human skull easy to teach, study and understand.

The Beauchene Skull is also known as an "Exploded Human Skull". The individual bones are attached together with a clever internal pin system which does not affect the anatomy of the skull when viewed externally. Once dismantled, the bone pieces can be easily reassembled using the inconspicuous, stable connectors attached at the slightly simplified skull sutures.
