The A283 / 1000064 didactic deluxe skull model is made up of a transparent half and a realistic bony half which allows for the easy transfer of structures like the paranasal sinuses, visible from the transparent side to the bony side. The paranasal sinuses can easily be located thanks to a simple colour coding system; yellow for the maxillary sinus, orange for the ethmoidal cells, green for the frontal sinus and purple for the sphenoidal sinus. On this model the cranial sinuses, neck arteries and face arteries are also coloured. Sinuses of dura mater are shown in blue. The external/internal carotid artery, common carotid artery and the branches of the menigeal artery are all indicated in red. The half of the brain visible on the transparent side shows brain position and the course of the sinuses. The transparent side of the jaw also for viewing of the periodontal pockets and tooth roots as well as being flexibly mounted in order to accuratley demonstrate masticator movements.
