Combat Action (C.A.T) Tourniquet [Pack of 1]

The C-A-T (Combat Application Tourniquet) can be applied with one hand and can, therefore, be applied by the casualty. It is able to stop blood flow from an artery or vein when applied above a wounded extremity. Since its introduction into the US army, mortality rates from limb blood loss have fallen by 85%.

The C.A.T tourniquet uses a winch system with a free moving internal band. This applies pressure around the limb and can be tightened until bleeding stops. The winch system is then locked in place, and a Velcro strap can be applied to secure the device while the patient is moved.
