The MediGenix Ear & Forehead Infrared Thermometer is designed to scan a person's temperature from the highest temperature in the internal ear to the lowest temperature in the external ear. As a result, temperature readings are more accurate. The thermometer has a removable cover, so it may be used as an ear thermometer or a forehead thermometer.
It accurately measures temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit in less than a second, depending on which setting you set it to.
It contains a fever warning that sounds when measuring in body mode if a fever is detected, and it stores the latest 9 measurements. If the temperature is within normal range, green will appear on the display, yellow will appear if it is high, and red will appear if a fever is detected.
The MediGenix thermometer is especially valuable since it registers the highest temperature in the inner ear, which provides the most accurate internal readings. Because of the backlit display, you can read a temperature in complete darkness if you come close 2 to 4cm of the patient's forehead when taking the reading.
