Cervical collars prevent damage by restricting neck mobility and limiting spine flexion, rotation, and extension. This is exactly what the paediatric adjustable cervical collar does, while also supporting the neck, spine, and surrounding muscle groups. It's especially beneficial when a youngster is suffering from acute neck pain, a strain, or an injury. In the event that an emergency tracheostomy is required, there is an over-sized trachea aperture.
It also enables for the taking of a pulse reading and ventilation. It can also be used during MRI and CT scans. The collar has been designed to be as comfortable as possible, with a moulded, ergonomic design and adjustable sliding tabs. It's made of a tough polypropylen material.
