If a kid has a Grade II/III ankle sprain, a stable fracture of the fibula, talus, calcaneus, or medial malleolus, following ligament, soft tissue, or tendon surgery, or a forefoot or midfoot injury, the paediatric walker boot is designed to be worn.
It's utilised to improve propulsion and decrease heel-strike force on the foot. The bottom of the boot also has a rocker design that allows for a more natural gait. The boot's curved form supports the foot while also being shock absorbent to decrease the impact and pressure from walking.
