The Quo-Test™ A1c analyser is a semi-automated analyser that uses patented boronate fluorescence quenching technology to measure glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), from a 4 μL sample taken from a fingerstick or venous whole blood.
HbA1c is a good indicator of blood glucose levels over a period of 8 – 12 weeks. This is particularly useful in diabetes where good glycaemic control is essential. A reduction in HbA1c has been shown to reduce the risk of certain diabetes-related complications1. Knowing your patient’s HbA1c levels at the time of consultation is essential for a meaningful consultation, can be a powerful motivator for your patient to achieve better glycaemic control.
