FertiQUICK® is a rapid test for use at home to detect the concentration of sperm in semen. The self-test shows whether the sperm count is considered within normal limits. Other fertility factors are not detected by the test.
As an immunochromatographic rapid test FertiQUICK® detects a component of the sperm head (ACRV1), which is then bound by colloidal gold-labelled antibodies. This complex binds to the test line (T) and forms a visible red line. The test includes a built-in control system realized by a control line (C). The C-line confirms sufficient amount of sample volume as well as correct performance of the test.
