Ethilon is a surgical monofilament nylon suture (Polyamide 6). With the Ethilon suture you get strength, smooth passage through tissue and a secure knot tying. Ethilon sutures are generally offered blue or black to enhance visibility in tissue but can also be found in an undyed version. Blue Ethilon are especially intended for use in skin closure.
